Most faceless channels fail before the first AdSense payout for one reason: the niche was chosen for how easy it is to produce, not for who watches it and what advertisers pay to reach them.
After running two monetized channels aimed at US viewers, here is my shortlist for 2026. RPM ranges are what I see in YouTube Studio and what peers in the same niches report, not theoretical CPMs.
## 1. Personal finance & retirement - $12-25 RPM Social Security, 401(k) mistakes, frugal living, side income. The audience is 35-65, American, and advertisers pay premium rates. Scripts need accuracy, so budget for research time.
## 2. Luxury real estate & business - $8-18 RPM Mansion tours, "how billionaires spend", founder stories. Strong Suggested traffic and easy sponsorship add-ons.
## 3. Health & longevity for seniors - $6-12 RPM "Foods that…", "signs your body…", sleep and joint health. Massive 55+ audience that watches to the end. Keep claims cited and conservative.
## 4. History & untold stories - $4-9 RPM Long-form documentaries (15-25 min) with mid-roll ads every 3-4 minutes. Retention is the whole game here.
## 5. Men's self-improvement & dating psychology - $4-8 RPM My own channel in this niche sits at $4.68 RPM with a single video earning $594.85. Listicles and psychology explainers with question-led hooks work best.
## 6. Relationship psychology for women 45+ - $3-6 RPM Lower RPM but extremely high CTR: one of my videos pulled 1.1M impressions at 7.3% CTR and another hit 8.5%. Volume makes up for rate.
## 7. True crime & mysteries - $4-8 RPM Evergreen and bingeable. Needs careful sourcing and sensitive handling, and some advertisers limit placement.
## 8. Technology explainers & AI tools - $6-12 RPM Software advertisers love this audience. Topics age quickly, so pair evergreen explainers with trend videos.
## 9. Cars & motorcycles - $4-7 RPM Great for Suggested traffic. Stock footage is plentiful, and the audience (US men 25-54) is advertiser-friendly.
## 10. Psychology & stoicism - $3-6 RPM Cheap to produce, huge demand, but crowded. Win with a distinct voice and consistent thumbnail branding.
## How to pick between them 1. Check the RPM ceiling - look at the advertisers running on the top 10 channels. 2. Check the demand - at least 5 channels under 1 year old with 100K+ views videos. 3. Check production cost - can you ship 2 videos a week at a quality the audience accepts? 4. Check the risk - YouTube's reused-content and medical/finance policies.
Pick the niche where all four line up, then commit for six months. Read how one video made $594 for what the production side looks like.
